Minho Lee is a Korean visual artist working with photography, physical phenomena, and cultural displacement. He received a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts, New York, in 2019, and has presented work across Seoul, New York, and Berlin.
His practice treats photography not simply as documentation, but as a site where invisible conditions become visible: light, water, gravity, memory, infrastructure, and displacement. His early series My Genes, which uses optical distortion to visualize inherited memory, is held in the Seoul National University Collection. Later works such as Theory of Relativity, The Belt, and Seoul but there is no Seoul expand this inquiry into the relationship between photography, physical reality, technological systems, and cultural identity.
Lee is the founder and former director of Gallery Jeoul, and the founder of SEOUL RAVE Project, an interdisciplinary platform connecting electronic music and contemporary art.
이민호는 사진, 물리적 현상, 문화적 이동성을 다루는 한국 출신 시각예술가이다. 2019년 뉴욕 School of Visual Arts에서 사진 전공으로 BFA를 취득했으며, 서울, 뉴욕, 베를린을 중심으로 작업을 발표해왔다.
그의 작업은 사진을 단순한 기록 매체가 아니라, 빛, 물, 중력, 기억, 인프라와 같은 보이지 않는 조건들이 이미지로 드러나는 장소로 다룬다. 초기 연작 《My Genes》는 광학적 왜곡을 통해 유전적 기억을 시각화하며, 서울대학교 컬렉션에 소장되어 있다. 이후 《Theory of Relativity》, 《The Belt》, 《Seoul but there is no Seoul》 등을 통해 사진과 물리적 현실, 기술적 시스템, 문화적 정체성 사이의 관계를 확장해왔다.
그는 Gallery Jeoul의 창립자이자 디렉터로 활동했으며, 전자음악과 현대미술을 연결하는 SEOUL RAVE Project를 전개하고 있다.
